The photographs from Scott’s Terra Nova expedition have become iconic images of the golden age of exploration. Though most were taken by acclaimed photographer Herbert Ponting, the ones taken at the South Pole were by amateurs — Scott and Birdie Bowers. I wanted to reproduce these images in a very modern medium: neon.
